SignalShark EMF Monitoring System Overview

Narda’s SignalShark Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Monitoring System provides a comprehensive solution for long-term monitoring of EMF radiation. The SignalShark offers precise and reliable monitoring over a wide frequency range from 9 kHz to 6 GHz and from 24.25 GHz up to 29.5 GHz.

The SignalShark EMF System consists of the SignalShark 3330 Outdoor Unit real-time receiver that is operated with either two isotropic antennas or one isotropic antenna and one Narda 5G FR2 LNB omnidirectional antenna. The receiver is designed for long-term fixed outdoor monitoring and includes a built-in mobile communications LTE router with integrated OpenVPN Client which allows for secure and efficient data transmission. Data can then be stored, managed and evaluated using the SignalShark platform.

Monitoring can be frequency selective and optimised depending on program requirements by using configurable measurement packages. These preset packages differentiate between VHF radio, DAB radio, TETRA/APCO P25, DVB-T, 2G/GSM, 3g/UMTS, 4G/LTE, 5G, IoT and radar for accurate measurement within different frequency ranges. Upon startup, a default package runs that either covers the entire frequency range of the connected antennas or parts of the range using adjustable measurement parameters.

An intuitive and easy to use interface allows the system to be operated without the need for extensive technical knowledge and is easily transported in 3 rugged travel cases. The SignalShark’s inbuilt sunshield, ballast bags and metal mast base ensures the system can withstand any tough outdoor environments it is deployed in.
