The ULTRA® Passive Sampler offers a choice of four sorbents for indoor and ambient air sampling. The ULTRA samples by diffusion and provides low ppb to ppt detection of compounds, including semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs). Use the ULTRA as an alternative to stainless steel canisters for green building certification, fenceline monitoring, product emissions, vapour intrusion, and near roadway, traffic, public health/asthma, and school zone studies.

- Compare to canisters for EPA Method TO-15 (see data below)
- Passive alternative for EPA TO-17 — no pump required
- Choice of 4 sorbents for indoor and ambient air sampling, including semi-volatile organic compounds
- Anasorb GCB1
- Tenax TA
- Chromosorb 106
- Charcoal (solvent extraction)
- Low ppb to ppt detection with highly sensitive thermal desorption
- Rates 15 times higher than tube-style passive monitors for lower detection limits
- Slide cover for easy on/off
- Miniature lightweight sampler is easy to transport — no expensive shipping
- Validated sampling (uptake) rates
- For indoor (low air velocity) uptake rates, see Technical Note: Indoor and Outdoor Sampling Rates for Environmental Sampling Using ULTRA Passive Samplers
- For outdoor uptake, see the Environmental Sampling Guide
- Built-in blank/correction sorbent section available
- Sample integrity
- Sonically welded housing seals the sampler
- Manufactured in an ultra-clean environment
- Extensive cleaning and QC procedures
- Long-term sampling up to 30 days reduces temporal variability
- Optional Rate Reducer lowers sampling rates for long-term studies and higher concentration levels observed in soil gas sampling
- Allows rapid deployment of multiple samplers for emergency stations
- Easy operation for community action programs
