Calibrators and Accessories
Acoustical calibrators, also known as sound level calibrators, are fitted over a meter’s microphone and used to set the sensitivity of the microphone of sound level meters and noise dosimeters for field work. It is recommended that calibrations should be performed before and after a series of measurements.
Class 1 and Class 2 Acoustical Calibrators
Air-Met Scientific’s range of calibrators include the:
- TSI AcoustiCal AC-300 Class 1 Calibrator: A simple to use and tough calibrator designed for field calibration of Quest sound level meters and noise dosimeters across a wide range of temperatures, humidity and pressure conditions. Suitable for use with the TSI Quest SoundPro, Sound Examiner, Edge 4 and Edge 5 Dosimeter, and Sound Detector instruments.
- TSI QC-10 Calibrator: Available for rental only. The QC-10 provides quick and precise field calibrations for both Type 1 and Type 2 sound level meters to ensure the accuracy of measurements.
Calibrators are either Class 1 (or Type 1) or Class 2 (Type 2) and comply with the standard IEC 60942.
Air-Met’s range of acoustic calibrators are available for sale or rental and have been designed for field calibrations of a range of sound level meters and noise dosimeters across a wide range of temperature, humidity, and pressure conditions.
