Industrial Scientific Ventis MX4 Portable Multi Gas Monitor
ATEX, ANZeX and IECEx Certified Portable Multi Gas Monitor.
Industrial Scientific Ventis MX4 Portable Multi Gas Monitor Overview
Configured for your safety, the Ventis can detect from one to four gases with a wide range of sensor options. The Ventis can increase the efficiency of your business while it handles your gas detection program.
The highly configurable Ventis is specifically designed to meet unique gas detection needs while maintaining worker safety. Available with or without an optional, integral pump, the Ventis is ideal for confined space or personal monitoring. The Ventis MX4 multi gas monitor has the ability to draw samples from 30 meters with an optional integrated sampling pump.
In addition to multiple sensor and battery configurations, you can choose from a robust suite of accessories. Each of these options for configuration ensures that when you receive your monitor, you receive only what you need. Best of all, the Ventis is compatible with iNet, enabling increased efficiency, safety and reduced costs.

Industrial Scientific Ventis MX4 Portable Multi Gas Monitor Features
Overmoulded composite construction | Rugged design provides exceptional durability in harsh, industrial environments |
IP66/67 Certified | Ensures that the monitor can withstand use in extremely dusty and wet applications |
One to four-gas configurations | Allows you to select and expand your sensor configuration to meet your monitoring needs at any time |
Broad sensor measuring ranges | Measuring ranges for carbon monoxide to 1000 ppm, hydrogen sulphide to 500 ppm, nitrogen dioxide to 150 ppm and sulphur dioxide to 150 ppm provide the ability to see changes in hazardous conditions beyond normal monitoring ranges |
Interchangeable lithium-ion and alkaline battery packs | Rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs offer day-to-day use for up to 12 hours continuously, while alkaline batteries provide an emergency backup power supply or an alternative primary power source for applications where instruments are used less frequently |
Lithium-ion extended range battery pack | Rechargeable lithium-ion extended range battery packs offer day-to-day use for up to 20 hours continuously when using the instrument without the pump |
Integrated sample-draw operation | One instrument can be carried for continuous monitoring or be used with the integrated sampling pump for sample-draw applications such as confined space entry testing |
PEAK reading storage | Provides quick access to an on-screen review of highest exposure conditions after alarm events without the need to download data logged information |
On-board continuous data logging | Storage of a minimum of three months of sensor data allows for routine review of gas exposures, revealing areas of safety concern and potential improvement |
Audible, visual and vibrating alarms | 95 dB audible, ultra bright visual and strong vibration alarms provide multiple clear warnings in high-noise, low-light conditions |
Programmable bump test mode | Prompts user to bump test instrument on a regular basis and provides an alarm that prevents use if bump test has not been performed at the desired interval |
Calibration overdue alarm | Prompts user and prevents normal use if instrument has not been calibrated within the prescribed timeframe |
STEL and TWA readings and alarms | Short-term and time-weighted average exposure measurements and alarms allow users to potentially set instantaneous alarms at higher levels, allowing work to continue safely while still providing alarms in conditions of prolonged exposure at lower gas concentrations |
Quick-Cal calibration mode | Saves time and money by allowing all sensors to be calibrated simultaneously using one cylinder of blended calibration gas |
iNet™ Ready | Gives you Gas Detection as a Service on the world’s premier instrument management system. iNet provides factory monitoring and servicing of your gas detection fleet without the need to purchase a single piece of equipment. |
Available in Safety Orange | Bright orange overmould enables increased visibility in dark, confined spaces |
