Replacement Announced for the TVOC Fixed PID Detector
ION Science to replace TVOC® Fixed PID Detector with TVOC 2
ION Science has announced a direct replacement for the TVOC which, as of 2 July 2019, is no longer available
From 2 July 2019, the ION Science TVOC Fixed PID Detector has been made obsolete. As such, this item is no longer able to be supplied by ION Science or Air-Met Scientific.
Spare lamps for the TVOC will continue to be available, and electronics within the instrument will continue to be supported within the warranty period as long as the availability of certified parts is maintained.
The TVOC’s direct replacement, TVOC 2, will be a fixed, long-life 6-Pin MiniPID sensor designed for the measurement of total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) in facilities such as laboratories and refineries. It will be particularly applicable to the petrochemical industry.
The TVOC 2 is expected to be available in October 2019, with more details on its specifications coming soon.
