Narda SRM-3006 Radiation Meter now with 5G NR Option
The Narda SRM-3006 Selective Radiation Meter now comes with a 5G NR option. This firmware update option allows code selective EMF measurement of 5G signals in frequency range 1 (FR1), which is required for extrapolation to maximum traffic. The measurement method is based on determination of the radiated field strength of the primary or secondary signalling signals (PSS or SSS) in the broadcast channel (PBCH) of the downlink.
Advantages of Code Selective Measurement
It is independent of traffic situation – This enables it to be used at any time without the need for on-site participation by the system operator.
It also works with beamforming antennas – Beamforming antennas are more often used for 5G systems as it helps 5G NR handle high bandwidth demands by increasing spectral efficiencies and providing cost-effective, reliable coverage.
It can distinguish between different cells - It can distinguish between different segment antennas, which enables the evaluation of individual segment antennas right up to the sum of all the mobile phone stations.
It does not react to signals emitted by mobile phone - The measurement is unaffected by the mobile phone system uplink signals.
The SRM-3006 handles both frequency selective and code selective measurement and focuses exclusively on the areas that are needed for EMF measurements concerned with safety and personal protection.
