Narda Radiation Monitoring Equipment ICNIRP 2020 Ready!
ICNIRP Revises Limit Values for Human Safety
Earlier this year, the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, ICNIRP, revised its recommendation for limit values in connection with human safety in electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic fields that was last published in 1998.
The revisions which was published in March, entitled RF EMF Guidelines 2020, noted a revision to the mid-frequency range and these guidelines.
The Narda Radiation EMF product range is already ICNIRP 2020 ready with Narda already having implemented these new limit values. For example, the RadMan 2 Personal Monitor is already ICNIRP 2020 compliant and alarms are set as percentages of the ICNIRP 2020 limit values.
The new limit value curves for the selective radiation meter, the SRM-3006 Handheld Meter are also currently available for download from the Narda website. The new limit value curves ensure that the SRM-3006 can display signals and services directly as percentages of the limit value without the need for tiresome conversions.
As for the EHP-200A which is most affected by these recent limit value changes, Narda has released an updated version of the EHP-TS software available for download from the Narda website which allows you to evaluate measurement results according to ICNIRP 2020.
