Conversion of Digital Electrical Signals to Optical Signals
Designed for use with the FieldMan Electromagnetic Field Meter, the Digital Broadband Probe Repeater from Narda Safety Test Solutions converts digital electric signals from FieldMan probes into optical signals via a fibre optic cable. Through this, users can bridge up to 50 metres of distance from the measurement point without interference. This enables measurements of high field strengths and locations where people cannot normally be present to be taken from a safe location without compromising on the accuracy of results. Capable of handling field strengths over 1000 V/m, the Digital Broadband Probe Repeater offers precise measurements of RF fields along with several other benefits including:

The Digital Broadband Probe Repeater is designed to be used in conjunction with Narda’s FieldMan EMF Meter. The FieldMan is a versatile and intuitive meter suitable for omnidirectional measurements of electromagnetic fields ranging from 0 Hz (DC) to 90 GHz. Available with a wide range of probes, the FieldMan base unit does not require calibration and the attached probes can instead be individually calibrated when required. This ensures that there is no downtime on the unit while probes are sent for calibration. With a large colour display, simple interface, lightweight design and high level of reliability, the FieldMan simplifies the measurement process while ensuring accurate and meaningful EMF results.
